Senate Tribute to Jordan Family for Largest CSU Cash Gift in History
The California State Senate today honored the Jordan family for their generous donation of $29.4 million to the Fresno State College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, now known as the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology. The donation, from the late Hanabul “Bud” Jordan, and his brother, the late Lowell Jordan, is the largest single cash gift ever given to any California State University. Senator Cogdill’s second annual Senior Health Fair was held in Clovis on October 8, 2008. There was an amazing turnout of 250 seniors - with an additional 50 – 75 people working the 40+ resource tables.
The multitude of resource tables had something for everyone, including a senior singing group – the New Wrinkles, a Senior Art Exhibit and an artist on hand to give live drawing demonstrations.
