Senate Republican Leader Bates Reacts to Assembly’s Action on SB 562

SACRAMENTO – Senate Republican Leader Patricia Bates (R-Laguna Niguel) issued the following statement regarding Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon's decision to hold SB 562, the government-run health care proposal, 'in the Assembly Rules Committee until further notice':

"Speaker Rendon says that SB 562 is ‘woefully incomplete.’ California State Senate Republicans agree."

Over the past several weeks, several editorials and articles have highlighted the failures of SB 562. Earlier this month, Senator Bates wrote an op-ed explaining her opposition to SB 562 that was published in the San Diego Union Tribune.
