Monday, October 2, 2017

SACRAMENTO – Senate Republican Leader Patricia Bates (R-Laguna Niguel) issued the following statement about the horrific shooting in Las Vegas:

“Words can't truly convey the horrific nature of what happened last night in Las Vegas. As we await further details, I grieve for those killed and pray for the recovery of those wounded. I also thank the first responders who came to the scene to save the lives of many people.

“Communities across America have been directly affected by the violence, with many of the victims coming from Southern California. Those injured include a deputy from the Orange County Sheriff's Department and two family members of other department personnel. These individuals all sustained non-life threatening injuries.

“At this time, one thing that people can do to help is to donate blood. Those interested in donating can visit www.redcrossblood.org for more information. The whole country stands with the victims and the entire Las Vegas region during this terrible time.”
