SACRAMENTO – Senate Republican Leader Jean Fuller (R-Bakersfield) issued the following statement in response to the governor signing Senate Bill 358 (Jackson), the “Fair Pay Act,” at Rosie the Riveter National Historic Park in Richmond today.

“I’m proud to say all fourteen Senate Republicans supported the California Fair Pay Act in its final vote on the Senate Floor, demonstrating our united desire to eliminate gender wage inequality in California. Women’s contributions to California’s economy cannot be overstated, and ending pay discrimination must be a priority,” said Sen. Fuller. “This bill was crafted to strike a balance between the interests of both employers and women in the workforce, and the ripple effect it creates will benefit all Californians.”
