Dodge Ridge Ski Area Honored As Small Business Of The Year

Senator Berryhill honored Dodge Ridge Ski Area as the “Small Business of the Year” for the 14th Senate District. Dodge Ridge opened to skiers back in 1950.

Dodge Ridge has been owned and operated by the Helms family for 36 years. Over the years, numerous improvements have been made such as additional chair lifts, tripling the skiable acreage for skiers and snowboarders, as well as the recent expansion of the Family Lodge. Additionally, Dodge Ridge has supported the community by hosting events benefiting the Society for Handicapped Children and Adults and Habitat for Humanity.

“Dodge Ridge is an important part of the community,” Berryhill said. “The Helms family continues to make Dodge Ridge a family friendly place, and a year-round destination for the outdoors. Small businesses are the backbone of our communities and Dodge Ridge demonstrates the best of that.”

Senator Berryhill represents Fresno, Madera, Mariposa, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne Counties.
