Senate Bill 434 will make it a felony to smuggle or attempt to smuggle a cell phone into a state prison facility. Gang members operating out of their prison cells is something that we have to stop. They use their cell phones to coordinate criminal activities with their cronies on the outside. This bill will give the wardens the tool they need to break up gang communication in prison and shut down their outside operations. (Read more)
