SACRAMENTO – Today, recently elected Senators took the oath of office at a swearing-in ceremony held at the State Capitol. Senate Republican Leader Jean Fuller (R-Bakersfield) welcomed newly-elected Senator Scott Wilk (R-Santa Clarita) and congratulated Senators Ted Gaines (R-El Dorado), John Moorlach (R-Costa Mesa), and Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga) on being re-elected.
“I join my colleagues in welcoming Scott Wilk to the Senate Republican Caucus. As we look to address the many challenges facing our state, Senator Wilk’s dedication to serving his constituents and fighting for common sense policies makes him a wonderful addition to our team,” said Leader Fuller.
"Taking the oath of office in the California State Senate to represent the great people of the 21st Senate District is truly a humbling honor. I look forward to serving the constituents of the 21st Senate District and I'm committed to fighting for the issues affecting the region,” said Senator Scott Wilk (R-Santa Clarita).
“Also, congratulations to Senators Gaines, Moorlach, and Morrell on their recent re-election. I look forward to continuing our commitment to struggling families and businesses across California by championing solutions that promote jobs and make California more affordable,” said Senator Fuller.
